Can I get a degree taught in English in Israel?
Yes. Several Israeli universities run full degrees in English, including Reichman University’s Raphael Recanati International School, Tel Aviv University International, Bar-Ilan University’s International School, Hebrew University’s Rothberg International School and Technion International. There are more master’s options than bachelor’s.
Is university free for new olim?
Not automatically. Eligible olim can get tuition help from the Student Authority: a mechina up to age 23, a BA up to 27 and an MA up to 30, generally starting within 36 months of aliyah. Army and national service don’t count toward the 36 months.
How much free ulpan do olim get?
Five months of intensive Hebrew ulpan (Ulpan Aleph), which you can start up to 18 months after your aliyah date.
Are there English-language coding bootcamps in Israel?
Yes. Developers Institute, for example, teaches in English and runs tracks for olim. Some bootcamps qualify for government subsidies, and each Studyil listing says whether it does.
Can I study in Israel without making aliyah?
Yes. International students study on an A/2 student visa, and Masa Israel offers grants to eligible 18 to 30-year-olds on long-term programs.
